Please Help Us Help the People of Puerto Rico

So many of our actors’ and teachers’ families have been horribly affected by the disaster in Puerto Rico. Since renting a private jet was a good option for delivering supplies, Rebeka Montoya, an actor and member of the LK&Co. faculty, has somehow managed to charter a plane. And we are told that it will be delivering the urgently needed supplies to the ruined island in the next couple of weeks. We humbly request everyone who are able to donate to extend their support. Water, first aid kits, pink eye medicine, and mosquito repellent are what we badly need at the moment. First aid kits and other supplies can be brought online from sites like https://www.seton.co.uk/first-aid-supplies/first-aid-kits. Even basics like bandages and gauze are desperately needed as the high number of injuries following the disaster has led to supplies of all types running low. Currently, the focus is on medical supplies and water, so while donations of clothes and toys are appreciated, we ask that you do not take these to donation centres as sorting them will delay the process of sending out more urgent supplies. We are also not accepting canned good at the moment so we can prioritise water and medical donations as these are most in demand. Cash donations are also welcomed, but we ask that you donate to charities like the Red Cross rather than directly to the donation centre as we do not have the systems in pace to manage cash donations presently. If would be helpful if you instead used cash donations to buy bottled water or first aid kits so we can donate these instead.
