What your school does is really magical

By lesly kahn | June 17, 2017

“Thank you so much for providing an amazing studio with incredible coaches.  2018 was one of my biggest years of growth as an actor in large part due to what I learned at your studio.  Before this past August, I had never been a lead in anything and had never booked a film.  Since then, I have booked ten films and have been cast as the lead in three of them.  I really appreciate it and look forward to learning and advancing further in 2019!” – NJ

“I was just going through old notebooks, and looking at some of my notes from clinic.  Doing that course really helped me so much. I remember booking three guest stars in two weeks.  What your school does is really magical. Just stripping the nonsense away. I’m so glad I was given those tools. Just wanted to express the gratitude I feel. I think about it often. Sending you love.” – LK

“Thirteen films now, with leads in 6. This past weekend, I wrote and produced 9 scenes in types that I would be cast in (thanks to Tyler’s class, I know my types!) including procedurals. I hired my friends who just finished a Netflix pilot and we did them all in 12 hours. I owe so much of what I’ve accomplished (and the fire that’s alight under my arse) to your studio and what I’ve learned from Tyler and Rebeka. Endless thanks.” – N

“I wanted to drop you a line to tell you how being in [class] the last few months has started to change the way my brain works in the best ways.

The crippling anxiety I had getting up in class just a few months ago has decreased dramatically, which, in turn, has allowed my confidence to increase significantly. I’ve been committing myself to really doing all the steps you teach us (like ALL of the steps….I mayyyyy have been skipping some before), and trying to get to as many rehearsals a week as I can. I’m starting to look at scripts differently and picking up technicals more quickly. I oftentimes have a hard time pitching ideas because I’m afraid to be “wrong,” but I’m finding myself coaching in rehearsals in a very free and uninhibited way. It’s feeling like I’m starting to not only “get” the work in a new way, but I’m also starting to get myself in brave new ways.

I know I’m going to flip-flop for a while – going from way too sketchy to playing so small you’ll wonder if I have a pulse – but knowing how I’ve changed in the small amount of time I’ve been back gives me hope that I’ll land in it. I know I can do it.

The folks in [my class] are so special. It makes my heart explode.

Love you.” – KT
